Sustainable Natural Fibre Solutions for Erosion Control
What Makes the Product Unique
Teneo’s Coir Non-Woven Stitched Composite Geotextiles are high-performance erosion-control blankets crafted from durable coir fibre elements stitched between PP/HDPE/LDPE nettings. This hybrid natural–synthetic structure forms a stable, permeable, and biodegradable matrix that delivers both immediate protection and long-term ecological restoration. .

How the System Works
Once placed in firm contact with the ground, the composite mat dissipates raindrop energy, slows surface runoff, and prevents soil particle movement. Its open, moisture-retentive structure promotes germination and root development, enabling vegetation to become the permanent stabilizing layer. As coir biodegrades, strength is naturally transferred to the established vegetation cover.

Where the Product Excels
Tengeo coir composites are highly effective for slope protection on highways, rail embankments, mine spoil heaps, riverbanks, canals, and hill-slope rehabilitation sites. In rural and low-volume roads, they function as a separation and reinforcement layer, reducing mixing of fines, limiting rutting and potholes, and enhancing the performance of soft subgrades.
